| How The Hooker was Developed | The idea for The Hooker was conceived out of necessity – as many great ideas are. Steven Adams, the inventor, was moving from the Philadelphia area to Sun Valley, Idaho in 1999. "As I loaded my pickup truck full of boxes and furniture," Steven says, "I was frustrated by the lack of convenient tie-down anchor spots. All I had were the OEM supplied hooks in each corner – there was nothing along the sides of the bed." "The boxes and furniture were loaded pretty high, above the cab of the truck. So I needed to make sure the cargo was secured, especially considering the 2,000 mile trip that lay ahead. I found myself tying ropes to anything I could find – the bumper, under the truck to the frame, inside the wheel wells, etc. It was really a poor way to secure all of our possessions." As Steven made the drive to Idaho, he gave the problem some thought. It was then that the solution presented itself. The Hooker was invented. |

Steven says, "Over time, my dad and I developed an original prototype, then successive revisions and improvements of the prototype. We began testing The Hooker for fit and performance on various trucks. Once we saw how well it worked, and how universal the fit proved to be, we decided to begin manufacturing and take the product to market. And, now, here we are." Necessity + American Ingenuity = The Hooker. It’s as simple as that! |
